We won't overload you with historical information. History is of course provided, and an important part of the tour, but we like to focus on the issues that are affecting India and its people in the present so you leave with a well-rounded, complex view of the country. Our guides are all from humble backgrounds and are keen and fun to interact with. Before becoming a guide, they have extensive training that is continuously developed through weekly guides meetings, one-on-one sessions, and regular trainings. They all speak excellent English. Unlike other tour operators, they work for and are employed by us only, which ensures that the quality of the tours is maintained. 80% of the profits are used to support our sister-NGO Reality Gives - a NGO that helps underprivileged communities in Dharavi and beyond by running and supporting local development projects and by connecting them to socially minded individuals & organisations. Reality Gives runs a Community Centre which you will visit during the Dharavi Slum Tour. Other projects are the Local School Support Program, Youth Empowerment Program, cricket academy, girls football program, a nutrition program and much more.
